This is Solveig’s new single off his album C’est La Vie, arranged with a little help from Dragonette and JPG. The video, which is part of this lousy pr-campaign, was shot in the massive Gaultier mansion in Paris, and features Tina, Martin and the man himself. Try it here. (via)

O.Children - Dead Disco Dancer (directed by...
Next wow. I mean…, what kind of music is this? Is it New-New-Wave? Or Post-Post-Pop? Don’t know. O.C. sounds likes Joy Devision rapes Depeche Mode. Label says: “What we saw was a great band. No one left the room. Next day we phoned them to set up the record deal.” True. And now there’s a video, with you should watch here. (via)

Slow Club - It Doesn't Have To Be Beautiful...
Wow. What a nice surprise. Besides of a Lay’s TVC soundtrack I never really heard of this infamous duo from Sheffield, playing a cutting edge mixture of folk, rockabilly and dreampop. Anyway, the new cool track IDH2BB is off their fantastic Let’s Fall Back In Love album at Moshi Moshi. Watch the Lucy Needs-directed video here. (via)

These Are Powers - Easy Answers (directed by...
Bit boring, but true: TAP is straight outta Brooklyn (and Chicago). EA is off their All Abroad Future album available at Deleted Art. This video is made by Jacqueline Caste - who earlier directed the cool Rainbow Arabia video - for this video she went 2 the forrest with some usual Brooklyn suspects for having a good time video. And yes, Brooklyn-burning-money-fun is still interesting enough 4...

Micachu & The Shapes - Golden Phone (directed by...
Wow, what a beat! M&TS‘ Mathew Herbert-produced album Jewellery is a brilliant freak-pop album — and while it doesn’t sound like Animal Collective, it evokes the same emotional “freak-out” response. Try the video here.

Phantogram - Running From The Cops (directed by...
The new video for Phantogram’s Running From The Cops, which has an incessant, nagging, almost insect-like buzz of a backing beat. According to accompanying info on the video’s YouTube page, the Saratoga Springs duo’s first full-length album, called Eyelid Movies, will be released in late summer. And yet is still a gloriously catchy tune.
